It's a simple shorthand, both on my part and Bobby's though. I think it first surfaced around the Riot City Blues era (that's certainly when I first remember seeing it) which was a very direct Exile On Main Street reference. I'd be interested in learning more about Nudie if you can recomend a starting point? (And yes, I am aware that 'simple shorthand' and 'lazy journalism' are one and the same...) Well, no you’re right.
